An extensive King George VI British Commonwealth stamp collection housed in six pre-printed Stanley Gibbons ring binders, comprising both mint and used material with strength throughout the Commonwealth. Highlights included Aden 1937 Dhow set to 10r mint, Bhopal 1935-36 Official Arms sets mint and used, Brunei 1947-51 set to $10 mint, Chamba 1943 set to 25r mint, Cook Islands 1944-50 Arms types to £5 mint, Gwalior 1938-49 set to 25r mint, Jind 1937-42 State Service high values mint, Kelantan 1937-40 set to $5 mint, New Guinea 1939 Air set to £1 mint, New Zealand Arms types including £2.10s mint and 22/- on 22s used, Niue Postal Fiscal Arms types, and North Borneo 1939, 1945 and 1947 sets to $5 mint. The collection carried a substantial catalogue value and generated strong competition from Commonwealth specialists and collectors, ultimately realising well above estimate.
